    New Year, New Goals

    This is the time of year many people make resolutions, set goals, and choose their word for the year. I admit, I am one of those people, although I really don’t make resolutions anymore because I usually fail within the first week. Instead, I’ve learned to set goals for the year, not all to be accomplished at once, but rather throughout the year. Some goals require daily persistence, while others not so much.     Simplifying the Juggling Act

    I have enjoyed my summer too much. Time with family and friends, time for creative projects (like this blog), time for reading and so on. I have enjoyed every bit of it, which may be why I’m dreading summer ending. I’ve been asked several times within the past few days if I’m ready for school to start next week. My reply: not really. It’s not that I’m not looking forward to starting class – I am. I have a new class this year and I’m looking forward to getting to know them and their families better this year.
