Just Be
I recently read a letter C.S. Lewis wrote to a woman answering her question of why God wants us. In the brief letter, he explained God didn’t want us “for anything,” but rather He just wanted us. As I read those few, brief words, excitement and conviction filled my soul. Excitement, because they reminded me of God’s love for us. Yes, God may have a purpose for our lives, but He didn’t redeem us for what we can do for Him. He redeemed us out of His pure mercy, grace, and love. Faith, Not Fear
I admit, it has taken me a few months to get this blog up and running. It’s not because it was too difficult (though I’m still learning the technical grammar), but because I had to overcome my fear. What fear? Well, first, my fear of not having anything of value to write. Who am I to think others would be interested in reading what I have to write. But then I look at things I’ve been through in my life – the good and the difficult – and realize someone may be going through the same thing or feel alone in their journey and need encouragement.
